RESCHEDULING POLICY

Please note there is a non-negotiable 24 hour notice cancellation/rescheduling policy.

During our first session you would have read and signed my Patient Information Sheet (see Forms) and we discussed the cancellation/rescheduling policy but I thought it would be helpful to include it here so the information is easily accessible should you have forgotten.

Please telephone or text 847 791-7722 as soon as you know you need to cancel/reschedule, at least 24 hours beforehand. If you know you will need to change a Monday appointment please let me know before the end of the business day Friday as I try to only take emergency calls at the weekend.

Please do not email changes in case I am not able to check my emails. I check texts and voicemails more frequently.

There is a 24 hours notice cancellation policy. I hold the session time open for you and if you cancel a scheduled appointment with less than 24 hours notice, I typically cannot use this time for another client.

Less than 24 hours but before 8am the day of the appointment due to illness $50.
After 8am the day of the appointment $170/$210 depending on length of planned appointment.
Missed appointments without any prior notice $170/$210 depending on length of planned appointment.

If you are using your health insurance, insurance cannot be charges for a late cancellation.

In the case of illness, I always try to reschedule for later in the week if I have a slot available, or do a telephone/video call instead of meeting in person. Please call or text me either the night before, or before 8am on the day of the appointment, to notify of serious illness. It is okay to send a text in the middle of the night, it won’t disturb me.

I am happy to do a video or telephone session if it is difficult to get to the office, but please let me know by 8am on the day of the session if we are switching to a remote session.
